KYLIE RAH
Kylie Rah is a multimedia artist who navigates the boundaries between traditional and digital art through the fine art approach. She was born and educated in Seoul, South Korea, and started attending BFA Fine Arts at the School of Visual Arts in 2021. She treats various forms of each work, such as sculpture, digital fabrication, mixed-media painting, video art, installation art, and performance in her works of art, and she recently focuses on projection-mapping and sound art intensively. She has been creating sound based on her exploration of the environment surrounding our daily lives and also bringing electronic music into the part embodying the overall flow of each piece. Emotion is an influential element in her creation, utilizing sound as a communication method to be fully absorbed into the narrative in the work of art. The realm of emotion contains the process of figuring out the cause of anxiety and inner agitation. She immerses herself in the art-making process by collecting raw sounds based on soundscape, including noises, and melting them into the installation environment as one major part.
