ArtsinSquare announces an open call for the 5×7 Photography Book (Vol. 2)
Get your photography published in print, join our international photobook.
We’re dedicated to giving artists more visibility and publishing opportunities through our platform. The 5×7 Photobook celebrates the value of printed photography, turning digital images into tangible works that connect artists, curators, and audiences. Each volume helps promote the culture and tradition of photography in print.
Guest Curator
This volume is guest-curated by Zach Dobson, a documentary and commercial photographer based in Carmel, Indiana. With a background in journalism and nearly two decades of experience, Zach captures authentic stories of people and their everyday lives. Beyond his photography work, he has built a community of more than 300K followers across major platforms and co-hosts the weekly podcast Photography is Nothing with his wife and creative partner, Courtney McCracken.
All selected artists will receive:
Two-page spread in the printed photobook.
Online blog feature on the Artsin Square website.
Dedicated social media post.
Inclusion in the print edition, available for online purchase with worldwide shipping.
Distribution to selected bookstores and galleries worldwide (locations announced after printing).
Opportunity to review and edit their spread before printing.

About Artsin Square
Founded in 2019, Artsin Square is a platform supporting contemporary artists through its magazine, artist books, and photobooks, as well as exhibitions, grants, and online programs. We’ve featured hundreds of artists worldwide, helping them connect with curators, collectors, and art lovers across our network of more than 100,000 members.
Eligibility
Visual artists aged 18 and above from any country are welcome to submit.
Artists are encouraged to apply with photographs in any genre of photography and in all styles and any ratio and size.
Both individual artists and art organizations representing artists from any country are welcome to submit.
Important Dates:
Deadline: December 15, 2025
Notification of Selection: January 2026. Selected artists will receive further information at that time.
Opportunity for Edits: Selected artists will have the chance to review and make edits to their spread before printing.
Selected artists will receive a complimentary digital edition of the publication.
Submit your art today for a chance to be featured in the photobook. Selected works will be included in the print issue available by early 2026 and will be offered for online purchase on our website, with worldwide shipping. The book will also be distributed to bookstores and galleries worldwide (specific locations will be mentioned after printing)
Requirements
Artists may submit up to 10 individual Photographs. Vertical, horizontal, and square images are all acceptable.
photographs must be uploaded directly to the form.
Artists should ensure high-quality images, ideally at 300 dpi in JPEG format and not exceeding 10 MB in file size.
There is no specific theme for this book.
Artists can submit previously published artwork.
Artists are encouraged to provide a bio and statement with 400 words limit. (optional)
Submission Fee:
Submission fee is $25 for 3 images (non-refundable).

By submitting your photographs to our open call, you keep full ownership and copyright of your images. You are giving us permission only to print and distribute them in the photo book. This permission is strictly limited to the creation and distribution of the book and does not extend to any other uses.
