Adaley Munoz
Adaley Munoz ( Addy ) is a first generation Dominican-American visual artist, and Tiktok content creator, born and based in New York City.
Her work appears in both digital and traditional formats, the latter using gouache or pencil. She uses the female form, along with surrealist elements to work through themes of family ties, emotional vulnerability, and sexual anxiety. Walking the fine line between self portraiture, and capturing the beauty of bodies that resemble her own, she offers up contemporary paintings for the everyday person’s consumption.
Her current projects are Of Campos and Cololitas, a collection of work based on modern Dominican womanhood, and Nobody Asked, a series of painting process videos that cover: art history, art-making, and general 22 year old bullshit on Tiktok.
In her personal life Adaley enjoys roller skating, long stretches of alone time, and traveling. She can most often be found with a mouth full of pastelito on evening walks in Washington Heights, or on Chinatown rooftops spending time with friends.
Her work is on Instagram, Tiktok, Inprnt, and soon Patreon.
