Ami Park
Ami Park, born in Seoul, Korea, is a multidisciplinary artist based in NYC. She mainly works with textiles embracing irregular and infinitely variable natural forms driven by deep scientific and spiritual curiosity. Her work explores vibrations in physics law between human minds and things into a theme of self-awareness, psyche, and perception incorporating craft artistry influenced and empowered by female culture. She has exhibited nationally and internationally at Ethan Cohen Kube, Chashama, New York Live Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, Project V Gallery, and The Royal Society Of American Art in NY; The Holy Art Gallery in London; Gallerie Dièse in Paris; CICA Museum in Korea, among others. Her wearable art collection contributed to a multidisciplinary project at the MoMA poprally x The Bronx in New York. Her recent recognition includes Bronx Museum AIM Fellowship(2023), the Puffin Foundation grant(2022), and Immigrant Artists Program by New York Foundation for the Arts(2022). She completed her residency at Uncool Artist and Interdisciplinary Practices in Bio Art at The School of Visual Arts. Her work was featured in Fiber Art Now, Kaltblut, Jute, Huf, iMUTE, etc. She holds a BFA in Fashion Design from The Parsons School of Design.
