Anastasia Voronkova
Anastasia Voronkova is a contemporary artist born in 1991 in Moscow, Russia, and is currently based in Berlin. Her education includes a Ph.D. in Biology from Moscow State University and various art-related studies, such as a workshop at the State Tretyakov Gallery and the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts. Voronkova's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions in Moscow, including the VII Moscow International Biennale for Young Art and at the State Tretyakov Gallery. Anastasia’s artistic approach critically examines the role of technology in communication, focusing on interactions between humans and nonhuman entities. She explores the concept of alternate, dark environments as a means to enhance everyday communication. As a mixed media artist, her primary focus is on creating objects, installations and photo collages.
