Meaghan McLaughlin
Meaghan is a contemporary abstract artist born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Her work is characterized by the exploration of freedom. Her bold colour palettes & gestural brush strokes are highly influenced by color field artists & abstract expressionists. She explores the freedom of abstraction & the fluidity of shapes. She holds the spaces between her creative intuition, imagination, control & unpredictability.
Over the course of multiple years she dedicated herself to various studio art courses across Eastern Canada. She attended continuing education courses at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design (NSCAD) in 2014-2015, the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) in 2017 & the Toronto School of Art (TSA) in 2018-2019. She now lives & practices in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
