Rebecca Rau
Rebecca Rau, (b. 1989 Chicago, IL) is a painter and video artist based in New York. Her paintings foster an experience of elusive intimacy and the female gaze, and are rooted in a process that embraces spontaneity, mistakes, and vulnerability. Her dearticulated, species-less bodies reject the confines of the gendered Muse/Artist dynamic that dominate Western Figurative Art.
