Stefania Penzes
Stef is a London-based Hungarian artist and singer. Growing up in a family of artists, she took an interest in theatre, music and visual arts. After taking part in a number of group shows, her first solo exhibition “#triggerwarning”, exploring the topic of mental health, was extremely Successful. Combining her talents, she made the opening event special by adding live music to the show. After exhibiting at festivals and studios, she was invited for another solo show to Pince Theatre, Budapest. The exhibition called “Unfinished business” focused on what keeps us alive even under the most horrific circumstances and mental states; and how our past determines our current actions. Following her shows, she was compared to Frida Kahlo for her bravery, and Egon Schiele for her unique style. Due to her unfiltered honesty about mental health she was invited for multiple interviews to talk about how her emotions manifest in her artworks. After moving to London in 2021 to study music at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, she has more stories to tell with her dark-surreal figures than ever.
