Body of Work is a series of self-portraits that explores the relation between perception, embodiment and information. By abstracting already unconventional bodily forms I hope to produce archetypal imagery that presses the viewer to interpret the work on their own terms. What is the symbolic difference between an open hand and a closed fist? If a fist signifies aggression, does adding the color red reinforce this attitude? Would adding blue weaken this implied meaning? These and other questions are explored in this self-portrait series.

I am a Brooklyn based photographer interested in using photography to explore questions concerning time, space, and the unconscious and conscious states. My photography has been featured by Polaroid, Daptone Records, Soft Quarterly, and Aint-Bad Magazine, among others.
