Wimpy Af
wimpy af is a Brooklyn based archivist that moonlights as a poet and painter. the af is for afrofuturist.
Each variant is an original work created on artist distressed paper. The process of aging the paper into a unique textural form involves baking, dyeing, painting, and cooking each sheet separately. Mixed media compositions are then deployed using paint, metals, and other found material. The intention is to tell Black stories through abstraction and whimsy. No two variants are alike, however, some are related.
