Collective Memory

My work is based on associative, free, dreamlike research about the human being. Painting develops through a visual narrative that feeds of the drawing. They have to do with the facts of life but they intertwined and resolve with the facts of imagination, magic and fantasy. Fairy tales, myths and dreams are instruments that I use to get closer to the real. My personal story is a confidence that I decide to give to others, something whispered in a ear. Inside this pot everyone throws their own ingredients, and i, bringing e

verything to a boil, look for the potion that can be drunk by everyone. 

This can be bitter and un pleasant, sweet and enveloping. So I try to use myself as a place of collective memory that feeds on legends, things seen or heard, idioms; feelings are identified with the depicted subjects who are equally victims and executioners. Through this process I try to express ambiguous states, uncertainties, mysteries and doubts, desisting from offering explanations.
