Lorenzo Maqced studied in the Academic Institution of Fine Arts of Perugia, Italy In his training he received two scholarships, one of which directed him across the ocean, to Seattle; an experience that will deeply mark his language. The main means of expression of his poetics is painting with which he undertakes an anthropological dialogue that has as its intent and as its purpose that of investigating the theme of loneliness and abandonment that Lorenzo manifests through the exaltation or denial of the latter. His compositions recreate spaces and situations of presence, a presence that manifests itself in some circumstances through subjects and in others instead mediated by objects. It shows a particular fascination for the home environment, which is a skeleton to the drafting of textures that as skin covers the latter. His images focus on the relationship between interior and exterior, a metaphor for man and the relationship that the body has with his surroundings. He appropriates a language close to some American and European figurative artists, building a visual path of places and evocative figures of everyday life. He shapes his imagination by graphically synthesizing his iconography, his insights are the basis of his experimentation, the central ring of his activity. Maqcèd wears a suit, that of constant attempt, from which he receives a loyal reward.
