Abrahm Guthrie
This body of work is based on short stories from books by George Saunders. Each Saunders story gives off a feeling of human authenticity in the face of the immoral, or strange life situation they are presented with. The stories are meant to explore the blossoming truths and often extreme absurdity of their life. The paintings range from extreme actions to dull moments in the characters life. They are meant to explore a moment in which the character reveals their hidden self before submerging back into the depths of their unconscious.
