Carsten Wagner
Carsten Wagner (b 1978) is an artist living and working in Hamburg / Germany.
Through the mediums of printmaking and painting, Carsten brings his characters and innermost thoughts to life, finding joy in getting his hands dirty while creating surreal and hyper-graphic figurative works. Carstens themes focus on the female face and form, wildlife, psychedelia, and sunglasses and lets you tap into wonderful absurdity.
The characters in my works are all coming out of their own imaginary universe. A slow motion caption of a combination of ingredients which develop something that contains our volatile zeitgeist, celebrating counter-culture attitudes and underground moods as well as feelings and conflicts that appeared since humans were present.
