Katlego Twala, a spirited Motswana artist, currently calls Barcelona, Spain, her creative haven. For almost three years, she has delved into the world of classical painting and drawing at the prestigious Barcelona Academy of Art, elevating her skills to new heights. Prior to this, she honed her craft at The Swedish Academy of Art, establishing a robust foundation in drawing that complements her exceptional technical process.
Working predominantly with oil and charcoal, Katlego specializes in figurative painting and drawing. Her artistic focus lies in unraveling the intricacies of the human body, representing it in an abstract yet realistic manner. A master of technique, she captivates viewers through a playful interplay of color, design, and the plasticity of paint, skillfully directing attention to key elements within her compositions.
At the youthful age of 23, Katlego has already made a mark in the art world. Her talent has been showcased in a solo exhibition, and she has participated in numerous group exhibitions across Botswana, Sweden, and Spain. Noteworthy among her collectors is Dr. Unity Dow, the Former Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation in Botswana.
