Taru Tiiliharju
Taru Tiiliharju is an artist based in Finland who works primarily in acrylic paints. She studied at an art-oriented high school but otherwise is self-taught. She often makes portrait-like paintings with bright, saturated tones and lots of details. Her paintings explore themes such as identity and uncomfortable emotions. She uses inspiration from nature and its beauty which is not defined by symmetry and lack of imperfections. Therefore insects and plants are often the key components of her paintings.
