Gemma Pepper
Gemma Pepper is an award-winning fine art photographer and mixed media artist currently living and working in Switzerland. Originally from the UK, she graduated from the University of Derby with a Bachelor in Fine Art photography in 2013 and received a Master’s in Art Education, Curatorial Studies from the Zurich University of Arts in 2021. She has shown work in solo exhibitions as well as group shows in Great Britain, The Netherlands, Vietnam, Greece, Switzerland and New York.
The analogue collages and assembled objects explore the artists family legacy through the medium of mixed media and photography. Inherited and found analogue photographs are combined with digital images and objects to deconstruct the family narrative. The work touches upon notions of love, grief and childhood memories.
